I haven't done this in a few months and was feeling deeply self-indulgent today, so it's the return of Flashback Friday! On a Tuesday. Look, things happen, okay?
This is the first time I've done a flashback to Flat Feet & High Heels. It was obviously my obligatory Flint project circa 2008, shortly after I'd been *ahem* let go from my teaching position. Don't worry, it was for the best. I was super bad at teaching.
Anyway, Past Jodie, what the hell is with those super narrow panels? Jeez. And lettering the breaks the panel borders? COME ON. Still, Past Jodie get some credit for actually trying to draw a background, even if she wasn't very good at it.
Martina also has better hair now. You can't really tell because she's so small in the panel, but I gave her a bit of a buzz over her ear. It's pretty boss.
One thing that's actually really worth noting about today's flashback is that the original panel is extra rubbish because it was drawn on paper. By which I mean, on paper, I'm limited in the size I can draw something. If I wanted to draw small figures in the frame, my already questionable skill was severely hampered. Today, digitally, I could zoom into the panel and draw detailed and properly proportioned characters to my heart's content. It makes a massive difference, though it also takes a lot longer.
