This is honestly closer in time to a previous Flashback Friday than I'd like (I did December 2002 just a couple weeks ago), but I couldn't resist the first appearance of Felicity Flint, erstwhile secret agent. After this first appearance, she became a big part of my life for a while, even getting her own series a couple years later! So I like her a lot, even though she's been missing in action for a while now.
That said, I don't particularly enjoy drawing Basil, and it probably shows a bit, but the 2017 edition of him still looks notably better. In the original panel, I don't even know what he's doing. Does he just make a habit of standing around in the middle of the room, holding a beer?
Also, good lord, look at how I was drawing hair in 2003. Girl, c'mon, just find some reference and see what human hair actually looks like.
I made a minor alteration to the base colors in this Flashback Friday, which I usually try to avoid: Felicity's jacket is legendary, and canonically blue after her first apperance, so I've fixed that in the 2017 edition.
And hey, this is the first art I've even MADE in 2017. Good times.
